Urban Kidz was the brain child of Lila Metcalf, a Scottsdale, Arizona, mom of two, who saw a need for a children’s apparel that filled the gap between luxury boutiques and run-of-the-mall stores.
“There was a missing niche of high quality, unique and trend –setting yet moderately priced clothing,” said Metcalf “and I aimed to fill that niche."
She moved beyond a home-based business by launching the Urban Kidz specialty store in Scottsdale in 2005.
Where else can you find over 80 brands of clothing and accessories for boys and girls from newborn to size 14/16 and gifts to fill any child’s wish list?
Urban Kidz is a one-stop shop for wardrobing valley children carrying everything from underwear to party-wear. In addition, many of the lines carried are exclusive to Urban Kidz and every week there is something new. With many special events, designer launches, Mom’s Night Out and trunk show’s, there’s certainly much happening at this valley favorite.
